Natural Change is a radical form of outdoor education which catalyses social change for a fair and sustainable future. It brings together small, influential groups of people to participate in a programme of wilderness workshops. It then goes on to support the growth of these personal experiences into leadership and wider social action for an ecologically sustainable future.
The best known of these workshops were commissioned by WWF Scotland in 2008 and 2010, under the title of The Natural Change Project. You can download a copy of WWF’s reports from these programmes here.
As a direct result of those workshops, The Natural Change Foundation was independently established as a registered charity in 2012, to help increase and broaden the impact of Natural Change on society. Participants from the 2008 WWF Project were instrumental in setting the Foundation up.
The Foundation works in partnership with Natural Change Limited (NCL), which is a social enterprise responsible for delivering all aspects of Natural Change projects and programmes on the ground.
